Send a shipping link: your buyer pays for shipping

Sold something on Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, Instagram or to a friend? Send your buyer a link. They enter their address and pay for the label, and we email it to you. No account, for you or for them.

How it works

  1. Make the link. Enter your return address, the packed box's weight and size, and the carriers you're happy to use. Save a card for carrier adjustments (nothing is charged now), and we email you the link.
  2. Send it to your buyer by text, email or chat.
  3. Your buyer pays. They enter their address, pick a price from your carriers and pay with Apple Pay, Cash App Pay or a card.
  4. You get the label by email (for USPS, with a QR code a participating Post Office can print for you). Tape it on and drop the box off. Your buyer gets the receipt and the tracking number.

What it costs

Nothing for you, unless the carrier bills extra because the box was heavier or bigger than you entered. Your buyer pays USPS, UPS or FedEx's discounted price plus ShipGopher's $1 + 5% service fee, the same prices as Get a Quote and often far less than the counter (see examples).

Questions

Does it cost me anything?

No. Your buyer pays the shipping: the discounted postage plus ShipGopher's $1 + 5% service fee, the same prices as Get a Quote. Making a link is free.

Why do I save a card?

Only in case the carrier bills extra because the packed box was heavier or bigger than you entered (a carrier adjustment). Your buyer's price is final, so that difference is charged to your card, never theirs. Nothing is charged when you save it, and if there's no adjustment, you're never charged. We never charge it for shipping.

Do my buyer or I need an account?

No. You get your link and the label by email; your buyer pays with Apple Pay, Cash App Pay or a card and gets a receipt and the tracking number by email.

Can I use it for Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist or OfferUp sales?

Yes, for any sale where the buyer pays you separately for the item: a local listing that turned into a shipped sale, Craigslist, Instagram, a forum or a friend. For listings you sell through a marketplace's own checkout, that marketplace's shipping usually applies instead.

Which carriers can my buyer choose?

The ones you tick when you make the link: USPS, UPS, FedEx, or any mix. Your buyer sees the prices for those, cheapest first, and picks one.

What if I don't have a printer?

If your buyer picks USPS, your label email includes a QR code: show it at a participating Post Office and the clerk prints the label. UPS and FedEx labels need printing.

What if the box is heavier or bigger than I entered?

The carrier bills the difference, and we charge the exact amount to the card you saved, with nothing added, and email you the details. Your buyer isn't charged. So weigh and measure the packed box and round up when you make the link. After 5 adjustments in 90 days, your links are paused for a while, and we email you why.

What if I can't ship it?

Use the cancel link in your label email and your buyer is refunded in full. If the carrier hasn't scanned the package within 7 days of payment, we cancel the label and refund your buyer automatically.

Is ShipGopher part of the sale?

No. We sell the shipping label only. Questions about the item go between you and your buyer; questions about shipping, to support@shipgopher.io.
