How to buy a shipping label without an account
You don't need to sign up anywhere to buy a USPS, UPS or FedEx label online. On ShipGopher it takes a couple of minutes: prices first, then the addresses, then pay and print.
What you need
- The ZIP code it's shipping from and the ZIP code it's going to.
- The packed box's weight in pounds and its length, width and height in inches. Round up: carriers measure every package and bill the difference if it's heavier or bigger than entered.
- The sender's and the recipient's name, street address and phone number (UPS and FedEx require a phone number).
- An email address for your label and tracking number.
- Apple Pay, Cash App Pay, or a credit or debit card.
Step by step
- Open Get a Quote, enter the two ZIP codes and the box's weight and size, and select See prices.
- Compare USPS, UPS and FedEx. The cheapest option from each carrier and the fastest option show first; every price already includes the service fee.
- Pick one and add the full addresses. City and state fill in from the ZIP code.
- Select Confirm price. The price is checked for the exact addresses before you pay.
- Pay with Apple Pay, Cash App Pay or a card. Your label shows on screen right away and is emailed to you with the tracking number.
- Print the label and tape it to the box, or for USPS, show the QR code at the Post Office counter instead (no printer needed). Then drop it off with the carrier.
What it costs
Discounted postage (the same commercial rates businesses get) plus one service fee of $1 + 5% of that discounted postage, added after the discount. No subscription, no account fee. For example, $10.00 of discounted postage costs $11.50 in total. See pricing for more examples and how it compares with the counter.
Changed your mind?
Use the cancel link in your label email within 28 days, before the carrier scans the package, for a full refund. The same email has a link to print the label again.
Why no account?
Most people ship a few times a year. An account means another password for something you rarely do. Your email gets the label, receipt, tracking and cancel link, which is everything an account would hold. Payments are processed by Stripe; ShipGopher never sees your card number.
