The UPS Store charges retail prices set by each independently owned store. Buying the same UPS service online costs much less, and you can still drop the box off at The UPS Store.

From our October 2026 price check of UPS's published retail rate (the same example as on Pricing). Each The UPS Store sets its own prices, which can differ. ShipGopher's price includes the $1 + 5% service fee.
When The UPS Store is the better choice
- You need it packed. The store sells boxes and can pack your item for you.
- You have no printer. ShipGopher's UPS labels need printing. (For USPS, ShipGopher gives you a QR code instead.)
When ShipGopher is the better choice
- Price. Online UPS rates are often a fraction of the retail price, as in the example above.
- You can still use the store. Print the label, tape it to the box and drop it off at The UPS Store or any UPS Access Point location.
